      Most people have their first experience with paintball birthday or bachelor party or corporate outing. The objective of the game of paintball would clearly fall within the definition of a hobby - go out, shoot, have fun.

      After playing a few times most people start to get a little more competitive, moving to a competitive speedball or woodsball. Or, they just play goes on day-to-day in their local courts.
